Navigation:  Exchange Server Toolbox > Configuration > Backup options

 

Here you can select the path the backup of the mail should be written to.

 

You may change the root folder for backups and decide if you like to backup incoming mail as well as outgoing mail.

The Exchange Server Toolbox creates a subfolder with the current date in the selected backup root folder. In this subfolder all incoming mail will be stored. Outgoing mail will be saved to a subfolder of that "date folder".

 

Performing backup of internal messages is not possible for Exchange Server 2003.
