What is New in SEPA-Transfer?

• When printing a booking list, only transactions that have already been carried out (export of a SEPA file or online banking) are now listed. The command line call PrintBookingList has been adapted accordingly. 
• The button for printing the last executed bookings is no longer deactivated after successful online banking. 
• If the execution date when sending to the bank or saving to a file is more than 15 days in the future (i.e. would not be valid according to the SEPA specification), it is no longer automatically adjusted, but the user is only informed of this and the affected transactions are no longer automatically ticked for export. 
• Under certain circumstances, it could happen that a single transfer was sent as a batch booking because this option was previously selected. This problem has been fixed. 
• The library for online banking has been updated.

• A possible error when sending transactions to the bank has been fixed, which mainly occurred if SEPA-Transfer has already been installed on the system for a long time.

• Exporting an Excel file and sending a payment to the bank is now more user-friendly and clearer. In the corresponding window, checkboxes can now also be used to simply select a subset of the open bookings so that only these are exported or sent to the bank.

• Improved behavior when exporting with different due dates: In online banking, bookings are now grouped and transferred to the bank based on the execution date. When exporting to a SEPA XML file, different execution dates are written to separate payment information blocks.
• The booking history has been completely revised and improved. Die displayed bookings can now be filtered via the funnel symbol next to the caption of the corresponding column.
• Checkboxes in the list of outstanding transactions on the left side make selection easier.
• The list of outstanding transactions on the left side does now show the amount next to the name.

• The mandate management now shows the expiration date of the validity of mandates. Note: Direct debit mandates become invalid 3 years after their last use. SEPA-Transfer maintains this date automatically, and you can easily identify expired mandates this way and delete them if necessary. Other minor corrections and improvements have been made 
• A possible error when opening an exported SEPA XML file from within the program has been fixed.
• The BIC field is now filled with the correct 'NOTPROVIDED' value when exporting for Austrian accounts.
• In the Import Wizard, the wrong file type filter was applied to the list of files in the Enterprise Edition, so files of the selected type did not appear. This error has been fixed.

• You now have more options to decide what should happen after saving a SEPA XML file. Besides the possibility to send the just written file encrypted by email, there is also the possibility to start a program with it or to open a certain web page, e.g. to upload the file there.
• If there is no active booking, the field for the execution date in the lower right corner now shows the current date instead of 12/31/1899.
• The IBAN is now formatted in blocks of 4 in the main window.
• The usability of the window for selecting and editing templates has been improved.
• The "Print transaction list" function now remembers the settings made in it.

• In the dropdown menu "Import file" now not only the file name is shown, but the whole path. If this is too long, parts of the path are replaced by 3 dots in the middle. This way, you can see where exactly the file is loaded from. This is especially useful if you have files with the same name in different folders.

• The active booking can be explicitly saved as a template using the "Save as template" button. The function is now also available in the right-click menu of the booking list on the left side. SEPA-Transfer also prevents identical templates from being added multiple times.
• If a new booking is created from a template, a small pencil now appears to the right of the "Recipient" field, which can be used to edit the template quickly and easily.
• The display of templates in the dropdown of the "Recipient" field has been improved: In case there are multiple templates for the same recipient, the differences are now made clear by appending the IBAN or the purpose to the entry in the dropdown.
• The functionality of the urgent transfer has been replaced by the SEPA real-time transfer. This is officially part of the European SEPA standard and is meanwhile supported by most banks. To use it, simply tick the checkbox for real-time transfer in the dialog for sending or exporting SEPA transfers. Please note that many banks charge additional fees for these transactions.
• More variables have been added for use in the purpose text: past year, next year, past month, next month, quarter, past quarter, next quarter. Please refer to the help for details.
• The command line parameter -WaitForCommands has been revised. This now executes SEPA-Transfer as an instance waiting for incoming commands. Further calls of SEPA-Transfer with command line parameters simply forward these commands to the waiting instance, which makes it possible to execute the commands faster than if SEPA-Transfer has to be completely initialized with each call. The command line parameter -WaitForCommands can be combined with -NoGui to make sure that the waiting instance does not display a window.
• The online banking PIN of an account is no longer requested multiple times within a program start.
• The error messages when importing invalid SEPA XML files have been improved.
• It is now possible to change the name an account has in SEPA-Transfer.
• When opening the template manager for the first time, the time until the window is displayed has been decreased.

• The management of the templates for transfers and direct debits has been completely revised and improved: Templates can now be edited and there can be multiple templates for one IBAN. In addition, the templates of all accounts can now optionally be displayed, not only the active one.

• It is now possible to import addresses that belong to the respective IBAN.

• The name and amount of a mandate are now filled with the data of a booking, if these values were not set before.

• A large input area is now used for the purpose instead of several individual lines. This better takes into account the fact that the SEPA standard only provides a single text field without line breaks for the purpose.
• The Enterprise Edition now supports all SEPA purpose codes instead of only salary payments and capital-forming benefits. These codes, consisting of 4 letters, can optionally be entered in a transaction.
• Online banking transactions can now be sent individually within a transfer. That way, they are always listed as single items in the account activities. However, a separate TAN is potentially required for each posting. To achieve this, set the value for the maximum number of postings to "1" under "Settings > Advanced > Bank-Specific Settings". This option is only available in the Enterprise Edition.
• The user interface of SEPA-Transfer is now also available in an English translation. To use it, select "English" at the beginning of the installation.
• It is now possible to copy bookings to the clipboard using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C.
• The settings dialog of SEPA-Transfer can now be searched via a small text field in the upper right corner.
• Colons in the name, the purpose or the end-to-end ID are now preserved during import.

• The button labels in the transactions overview were reversed and corrected.
• For direct debits and transfers to Monaco, it is now also possible to enter addresses in accordance with the EU Money Transfer Regulation.
• The new SEPA Transfer database now filters out line breaks that some banks have included in their account transactions and no longer stores them in the SEPA Transfer database. This ensures a better formatting of the account transactions in the program and the exported files.

• SEPA Transfer can now also import SEPA XML files in which a currency other than the Euro is used. This concerns e.g. Swiss francs, British pounds or Danish crowns. All permitted currencies can also be selected for each account to export SEPA XML files with a currency other than Euro.
• SEPA-Transfer can now permanently store account transactions retrieved from your bank. For a better overview, a time interval can be specified to retrieve and display the transactions. SEPA Transfer can also be configured to retrieve and store transactions on your computer in the background each time a transaction is transferred to your bank.
• In the turnover display, filters can be configured for all columns, e.g. to display only bookings with a certain value and in a specified period.
• The transactions stored in SEPA-Transfer can now be printed out.
• Some adjustments have been made to comply with the EU Money Transfer Regulation:
  • In the case of direct debits from the following countries, the address of the payer must be specified if the value exceeds €1000: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland.
  • For transfers from one of the above-mentioned countries to the EU or another country specified in the regulation, the address of the sender must be stated if the value exceeds 1000€.
• The online banking component has been updated and modernised.
• Most password-protected Excel files can now be imported.
• SEPA-Transfer contains the search bar known from Office programs to find functions.
• The dialog for displaying the flicker code when using the optical TAN procedure now contains information that can be entered into the generator if the code cannot be read by the generator.

• In SEPA Transfer, it is now also possible to set up accounts with banks outside Germany. This makes it possible to create SEPA XML files in which a client account is entered that is not managed by a German bank.
• The printing of the SEPA overview has been corrected.
• A new option in the template dialog allows you to set whether bookings are created from templates depending on the last selected booking type in the main form or with the booking type saved in the template (bank transfer or direct debit).
• Suggestions are again displayed for all templates when the recipient name is entered.
• The selected default printer is saved correctly again.
• If an end-to-end reference is passed by command line command, the option to display the reference is automatically enabled (Enterprise Edition only).

• SEPA-Transfer supports SEPA version 3.1.
• SEPA-Transfer can import SEPA containers.
• Export of SEPA files from SEPA accounts has been accelerated and memory consumption halved.
• When a transaction is created from a template, the transaction type stored in the template (bank transfer or direct debit) is taken into account. Previously, the booking type of the last booking selected in the main form was used.
• With the new command line command "ReadEC", an EC card can be automatically read at the point of sale (Enterprise Edition only).
• The command line command "Write" has been extended by the parameter "SplitDebitFiles", which can be used to specify that single, first and subsequent debits are exported to separate SEPA files (Enterprise Edition only).
• If the option to send SEPA files by e-mail is activated in the settings, the e-mail address of the recipient can be stored.
• The online banking component has been updated. SEPA Transfer now regularly checks whether an updated compatible version of the component is available.

• Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 are no longer supported after this version.
• The ribbon user interface has been modernized and is displayed correctly on scaled screens. As a result, the old menu-based user interface has been removed.
• The bank sort code update function has been removed. The bank sort code directory is now automatically updated with every update of the online banking component.
• IBANs and BICs from French overseas departments and the British Channel Islands are now correctly validated.
• New direct debits can be created from saved SEPA direct debit mandates in the mandate management.
• Recognition of postings from the clipboard has been improved.
• The selection of a log file for online banking has been simplified.
• If the database used by SEPA-Transfer cannot be found at startup, a warning is displayed and a backup is automatically restored.
• Variables for the current day, month and year can now be used in the purpose (Enterprise Edition only).
• A new option allows you to set the eraser to delete the amount of the transaction in addition to the intended purpose.
• Variables in the note to payee are resolved correctly again (Enterprise Edition only).

Online Banking

• Current account transactions can be called up at your bank with SEPA transfer. The displayed transactions can be filtered in SEPA Transfer according to payer, purpose and other values and exported as Excel or PDF files.
• Express transfers can be transferred to your bank with SEPA Transfer, provided this is supported by your bank for your account (Enterprise Edition only).
• SEPA Transfer checks whether the account is sufficiently covered before transferring funds. If the sum of the transfers is higher than the current account balance, a warning will be displayed. However, the transfer can still be executed.
• Error handling in online banking has been improved.
• The online banking component has been updated.

Command Line

• With the new switch "AddBooking" a new booking can be created in SEPA-Transfer.
• With the new switch "PrintBookingList" the booking list with all open bookings can be printed on a standard printer.
• With the new button "ClearMandates" all mandates of an account can be deleted.
• If an online banking transfer is initiated from the command line, the new "UrgentTransfer" button can be used to specify that transfers are to be executed as urgent transfers.

Import

• With the new switch "AddBooking" a new booking can be created in SEPA-Transfer.
