Event-Log Sensor

The sensor_wmieventlog16 WMI Event-Log Sensor is able to monitor event logs of local and remote machines.
You can configure the sensor to be notified if a Windows event occurs that is written in the Windows Event Log.

Basic Settings

Display Name

Defines the name of the sensor

Active

Toggles the sensor ON/OFF

Check Interval

Interval between two sensor polls

Only check if this sensor didn't fail

This sensor will only be checked, if the sensor in the drop down list didn't fail

Management Instrumentation Options

UNC Host

The UNC address of the watched host

Username

The username for the ServerSentinel on that host

Password

The accounts' password, if necessary

Event Log Options

Refresh Button

Use this button to re-connect to the log facility if, e.g. the UNC host changed

Logfiles to monitor

A list of log files installed on the windows machine that is monitored, choose any of them to receive events.
