ShellBrowser .Net Edition

Welcome to JAM Software's ShellBrowser .Net Edition, a comprehensive set of .Net components using the native Windows Shell-API on 32- and 64-bit systems.

DESCRIPTION

ShellBrowser is a .Net control set. It gives a programmer easy access to the Win32 shell functionality. The ShellListView and ShellTreeView controls look and behave exactly like the corresponding parts of the Windows Explorer. The invisible ShellBrowser controls provides an easy interface to the Windows shell interface. All components support correct icons and the Explorer context menu. A thumbnail component displays the Explorer thumbnail images and the ShellChangeNotifier control informs you about numerous shell events. Two interesting sample projects are included together with a complete api documentation.

DEPLOYMENT

The full version is packed with a file “JamDesign.dll“, which is necessary to develop software with the ShellBrowser controls but not to run them. “JamDesign.dll“ must not be delivered together with the software using the ShellBrowser controls. When distributing the application that uses these controls, the "ShellBrowser.dll" needs to be located in the executable's folder.

However the control set contained in "ShellBrowser.dll" is “royality free“ - as soon as you licensed the product you are allowed to arbitrary often deliver the assembly to your customers.

COMPATIBILITY

This product needs the Microsoft .Net framework, version 2.0 or higher. It has been successfully tested with Windows 2000/XP/Vista and 7.

The ShellBrowser .Net component set is Shareware, you may test it for 30 days. If you choose to use the program after this period you need to register.
