If you are going to reinstall your computer and want to preserve and reuse the settings, backup-jobs and sequences of your current SmartBackup-installation follow these steps:
Before reinstalling your PC:
| 1. | Hit the "General Options"-button on the main form of SmartBackup. |
| 2. | Hit the button "Backup settings...". |
| 3. | Choose the destination directory and filename, your settings have to be backed up to (one ZIP-archive is created containing all settings, SBF and SBS files) Important: Keep in mind that the destination directory has to be accessible after the reinstallation of your computer. It is advisable chossing a directory on an USB-stick or any other removable-drive. |
After reinstallation:
Import your settings by follow these steps:
| 1. | Choose "General Options" on the main form of SmartBackup. |
| 2. | Hit "Restore Settings..." |
| 3. | Choose the directory and file you chose as destination in the "Before reinstalling"-steps previously. |
| 4. | Your settings, backup-jobs and sequences are now restored. |
