Sequences

Sequences are sets of backup volumes. A sequence has to contain at least one backup volume. Every sequence has a name and a description. After you created a new sequence you can back it up or restore it. Besides you can define an action that has to be performed after the backup or restore of the sequence has finished.

 

 

Create a new or edit an existing sequence

 

The following picture shows how the window to create and edit sequences looks like:

Name & Description

You can enter a name and a description for the sequence.

Excluded Backups (Left List)

In the left list you see all available backup volumes that are currently not included in the sequence. If you want to exclude an included backup volume from the sequence you select the entry in the right list and hit the single arrow to the left or drag the entry to the left list.

Included Backups (Right List)

In the right list you see all included backup volumes of this sequence. You can include new backup volumes to the sequence by selecting the entry in the left list and hitting the single arrow to the right or by dragging the entry to the right list.

Action after finish

You can set an action that has to be performed after a backup or restore of this sequence has finished. There are several actions you can choose from:

Log off user
Restart computer
Turn off computer

Delay Action

If you set one of those actions you can define a time by which the action shall be delayed.
