Each backup volume has a log file containing information about the backup operations.

 

 

 

By pressing 'Copy log to clipboard' you can copy the selected log entry to the clipboard for pasting this information in (e.g.) an e-mail. The 'Clear Log File' button will clear the log file, if it becomes too confusing.

 

In case of an erroneous backup, SmartBackup will add an entry containing the number of errors to the Windows event log, too.
