The tree map is a hierarchical chart that is able to visualize the sizes of each subfolder (not only direct child folders) of a selected directory branch.
Each folder is shown as a rectangle. The area of the rectangle represents the size of the corresponding folder. Rectangles of subfolders are located inside the rectangle of their parents. The color of the rectangle face represents the directory level. The color range reaches from dark red (top level directories) to bright yellow (high level directories). These colors can be adjusted using the color dropdown in the toolbar of the "Charts" tab. The shown rectangles must have a minimal area to be displayed. You can customize this minimum value by a track bar in the tool bar of the "Charts" view. If this value is too small the chart will be to complex and confusing.
If you move the mouse cursor over the chart, you will see tooltips containing information about the directory below the cursor. Double clicking on one of the rectangles will navigate to the corresponding directory in the directory tree.

You can use the same export functions as with the bar or pie chart (See Charts). Use Ctrl + and Ctrl - to zoom the tree map, or use the mouse wheel while keeping the Ctrl key pressed.
