UltraSearch

Question / Problem

Why is the error message 'Network drives are not supported.' shown? How can I search network drives?

Answer / Solution

UltraSearch accesses the MFT (Master File Table) of local NTFS partitions to find files and folders on your hard disk. This makes it impossible to search network drives. If you want to search a network, we recommend our disk space manager TreeSize. The TreeSize File Search is even more versatile than UltraSearch. It can access NTFS drives as well as FAT32 drives and it searches entire servers or networks. In addition, it offers several predefined searches, e.g. for temporary and duplicate files. Found files can be moved or deleted.
