In the context menu of the scanned directories list you will find additional options to configure your scans.

Scan Now

Starts a scan for the selected directories immediately.

Scan Later

Schedules a single scan for the selected directories for a later point in time.

Abort Scan

Aborts a running scan of the selected directories.

Cancel Next Scan

Call of the next scheduled scan for selected directories.

Export

This submenu is explained below.

Expert Settings

This submenu is explained below.

Delete from Database

Removes all scan details of the selected directory from the database.

Note: No directory will be removed from the hard disk in this way, but all information about the scanned directory, stored in the database, will be lost.

Add New Container

Adds a new Container, in which you can group several scans in. A Container shows a summary of all scans that are included. This way you can merge different scans together e.g. for printing or exporting.
You can add or remove scans from a container in the "Configure Scans" dialog using the drag-drop operations.

Properties

Opens the Windows Explorer properties dialog for the selected directories.

Submenu Export:

Copy to Clipboard

Copies the selected entries of the list to the clipboard.

Export to SQL Server

Exports the selected root directories to another SQL server. Use this option if you want to move your database from one location to another or from one database system to another.

Export Roots to SQL script

Exports your database ROOTS table, with all the scan settings, to a SQL script. You can use this option if you want to start again with a clean database. Then you can import the root directories from the exported SQL script.

Submenu Expert Settings:

Set Observing Server

The observing server is set by default to the name of the server that initially added the new root directory. Only the observing server will execute scans for this root directory, no matter from which client or scheduled job the scan was triggered. You can also enter more than one server name. The names have to be separated with a semicolon (;) only. Blank the server name if you want to allow any server to execute scans for this directory.

Set Database for this Scan

Use this option to store the file system sizes of the selected directories in a different database on the connected SQL server. This way the collected information of different directory branches can be easily separated and the access permissions to these data are configurable through the database access rights.

Change Scan Location

Use this option to change the selected directory path, when the directory was moved.

Check Data Consistency

Updates the cached values in the database table structure. Use this in case a scan was aborted and some of the merged statistics (e.g. "Extensions", "Users" or "Ages of Files") are showing strange values.

Note: This option is disabled if there is an scan for this root directory currently in progress.
