Check user permissions easily

Search for access permissions

Do you have all permissions of your users in view? TreeSize can search for access permissions of your users in the Active Directory.

So you can quickly see which files certain users can see in a target directory - and which not.

How permissions search works

With the TreeSize file search, you can easily search for access permissions of a specific user in a specified target path:

Open the "Extended Search" in TreeSize and select your target path.

Now select "Permissions" in the search filters and set here whether you want to search for a refunded or a denied permission.

Next, select a username or user group from your Active Directory. Finally, you can specify the scope of access.

After starting the search, you will get a list with access permissions of the selected users or user groups!

Check user access permissions for better compliance

Searching for access permissions with TreeSize helps you ensure compliance.

For example, check if specific AD users or AD groups have access to files on your HR department's network drive. With TreeSize, you can complete this rules task in minutes.

Easily ensure Role Based Access Control

Many organizations are turning to Role Based Access Control for their compliance, assigning access permissions based on group policies rather than individual users.

Searching for access permissions with TreeSize, you can regularly check for user-level access and correct it as needed. This makes it easy to keep an eye on your permissions' assignment.
